Publix and NFL Jaguars Team Up

Publix has signed an exclusive deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars that includes branding and marketing opportunities for the NFL team and the Lakeland, Fla.-based supermarket chain in TV, radio and print ads.

Publix replaces Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie Stores, which had held exclusive supermarket sponsorship rights with the Jaguars for the last six seasons.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jaguars executive Bill Prescott said the team solicited supermarkets with stores in the Jacksonville area to bid on the partnership and that Publix presented “the best offer.”
