NEW YORK — The broadcast and cable networks are gearing up for the $1 billion children’s upfront advertising sales market for the 2001-02 season. The WB Network’s Kids’ WB! and ABC on Thursday unveiled their new fall slates for media buyers in New York.

Kids’ WB! is launching five new animated series plus a live-action entry from “Goosebumps” author R.L. Stine, while ABC is whipping up a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen series for its “Disney’s One Saturday Morning” lineup.
