Burnett Names New London Chief, Opens Belgrade Office

Leo Burnett last week named a new chief executive for its London operations and opened an office in Yugoslavia.

London managing director Stephen Whyte will take over as CEO, succeeding Nick Brien. Brien is joining Bcom3 sister company Starcom MediaVest Group as director of business development and president of U.S. operations. Brien and Whyte will assume their new roles in April.

Separately, Leo Burnett Worldwide opened an office in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, called Synergy Leo Burnett. Former Saatchi & Saatchi executive Misa Lukic will serve as the office’s managing director.

The office, which is expected to have opening annual billings of $1 million, brings Burnett’s global network to 94 offices in 84 markets.
