BOSTON – A state official last week defended a Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources ad campaign that has been derided by a leading advocacy group for apparently urging consumers to waste energy.
Created by CC and D Communications in Boston, a pair of 15-second television spots airing for the next month trumpet the deregulation of the state’s electricity industry, which took effect March 1.
One ad shows an elderly couple using a “clapper” to repeatedly turn their lights and vacuum cleaner on and off.
