On Jan. 1, 2008, the Co-op America Magazine PAPER Project became the Green America Better Paper Project.

“Over 25 years ago, we helped begin a ‘green economy’ movement that today includes $300 billion in responsible products and $2.7 trillion in socially responsible investments,” said Frank Locantore, Better Paper project director, Green America. “Today, the word ‘green’ has a meaning it didn’t have 25 years ago and changing our name to ‘Green America’ more accurately describes the work we do to cultivate the economic power of individuals, businesses and investors to solve social and environmental problems.
