Dentsu Corp. of America is prepared to announce a number of appointments this week–including the naming of Kazuo Kudo, as the No. 2 executive under president Keiji Matsushima– indicating a renewed commitment to building its U.S. office, headquartered here, sources said.
Kudo had been a vice chairman at AC&R Advertising/N.Y., and is identified with that shop’s Seiko account. After leaving AC&R, Kudo returned in 1991, after the departure of former AC&R ceo Steven Rose, who at the time was seen as a key to the Japanese watchmaker’s account.
