TEXAS Savage Design Group in Houston has promoted two staff members. Deborah Werner has progressed to director of administration and planning while Bo Bothe has advanced to art director. Laura Moor has joined the design company as sales and marketing representative. Janet Goforth was recently designated senior marketing manager at DACG, a technology training specialist located in Houston. Goforth will oversee the organization's marketing and public relations efforts in Central and South America, Canada and the U.S. Ellen Gunter and John Gunter have joined Dallas-based 1400 Words, a communications company specializing in written projects. Both Gunters are former journalists and freelance technical writing consultants for clients including IBM, Texas Instruments, Nortel and Alcatel. Regian & Wilson/Grey Advertising in Fort Worth has hired Shannon Zenner as an account coordinator. Zenner was previously employed as an assistant media planner at Temerlin McClain in Irving. R.j. kolar advertising and marketing of Austin has appointed Shannon Phillips art director. Linda Vaughan has joined the agency as production manager. Rives Carlberg in Houston continues to expand its digital production operations with the addition of four new electronic artists. The art department's new hires are: Warren Blum, Henry Davis, Stacy Davis, Alma DeHoyos and Oscar Villarreal. Koko Echeverria has also joined the company as digital studio librarian. Group Bolton in Dallas has promoted Stephanie Coggin to director of public relations. Regina Rice Haas and Bonnie Wilson have both progressed to public relations account executives. TENNESSEE Brenda Harkness and Allison Jones have joined the staff of Sossaman Bateman & Associates in Memphis as office manager and art director, respectively. Following several new business wins, The Buntin Group has announced a pair of new hires and the promotion of seven staff members. New employees at the advertising agency are account executive Jody Wylie and account administrator Marianne Marty. Promoted at the Nashville-based shop were account executive Brad Groves, assistant account executives Ty Meredith and Lora Mitchell, operations manager Adam McGee, field account representative Eric Goricki and senior media buyer Michelle Laflin. Sandra Goldberg also progressed to operations coordinator for The Buntin Group's out-of-home media division. ARKANSAS Heathcott Associates in Little Rock has elected four individuals to vice presidencies. The staff members, who also form the company's new executive management committee, are: David Edwards, general manager and chief production manager; Jill Joslin, account supervisor; Jill Hutcherson, account manager and director of broadcast production; and Tanya Whitlock, media director. Stone & Ward in Little Rock has appointed Chris O'Brien copywriter and Paige Selakovich senior public relations account executive. The agency has also welcomed Bruce Trimble to its ranks as an account executive. LOUISIANA Calzone & Associates in Lafayette has added Renne Sagrera as an account executive. Sagrera is a former marketing specialist with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Peter A. Mayer Advertising of New Orleans has created a new division, Peter A. Mayer Public Relations, headed by vice president and director of public relations Mark Romig. The division includes three account executives who report to Romig: Tracy Saunders, Ellie Rand and Angela Wise. Mayer's public relations business has grown an average of 30 percent annually during the past four years. FLORIDA Cook Marketing Direct, a unit of Cook Marketing Communications in Jacksonville, has designated Terry Chancellor manager. Chancellor will develop and manage direct marketing for new and current clients. St. John & Partners in Jacksonville has hired account executives Krista Hazen and Christen Hollinger. Rosa Herrera has advanced to assistant account executive. Karen Bonsignori has rejoined Roberts Communications in Tampa as account executive. Bonsignori was most recently responsible for marketing an educational outreach program for the National Inventors Hall of Fame in St. Louis. Prior to that, she was an account executive at Roberts for six years. GEORGIA Sawyer Riley Compton has added two employees: Missy Moon as senior public relations counselor and Penny Kemp as account supervisor. The Atlanta advertising agency has also elevated Jennifer McPeak to senior account executive. Idea Associates in Atlanta has hired Kelly Crutcher as account manager. Third Millennium Communications in Atlanta has named Mary Goode executive vice president of business development. Goode will be responsible for expanding the company's Internet consulting and e-commerce activities. Crawford Communications in Atlanta has assigned Dianna Costello to direct business development for its post-production operations. John Durkee, who has spent 22 years in the healthcare marketplace, has joined Adair-Greene Healthcare Communications in Atlanta as director of new business. Durkee will provide strategic direction on regulatory, medical and marketing communications issues involving the agency's roster of healthcare clients.
