GSD&M Falls Short In Mazda Contest
CHICAGO
A creative presentation rich in emotion and music helped W.B. Doner & Co., Southfield, Mich., win Mazda North American Operations’ $240 million account, according to sources. Ogilvy & Mather, New York, and GSD&M, Austin, Texas, were the other finalists for the account, resigned by Foote, Cone & Belding, Santa Ana, Calif. The Ford Motor Media unit of J. Walter Thompson, Detroit, will continue to handle national media buying for Mazda.
