Crispin Porter & Bogusky has resigned Caterpiller Footwear’s $1-2 million account.
“We just really could not agree on the direction for the Cat brand and decided it would be best for them to find somebody else that they’re more comfortable with,” said Jeff Steinhower, the Miami agency’s director of account service.
Steinhower said CP&B has a “gentleman’s agreement” to serve the Rockford, Mich., client until it can find a new agency, which he expects to occur by March.
The shop’s relationship with Cat’s parent, Wolverine Worldwide, will continue, according to Steinhower.
