CEA President Steps Down; No Successor Is Named

Frank Hoag, Campbell-Ewald Advertising’s president and chief operating officer, is retiring 31 years after first joining the shop.
No replacement has been named for Hoag, 57, who exits the Warren, Mich., agency at the end of the year.
Hoag joined CEA in 1968. After leaving for advertising jobs at Chrysler Corp. and then his own company, he returned in 1982 as senior vice president and management supervisor. In 1987 he was elevated to charter president of C-E Communications, CEA’s marketing communications unit.
