ILLINOIS Mobium Creative Group in Chicago was elected a member of the Transworld Advertising Agency Network, which has 21 members in the U.S. and 17 agency affiliates in Europe, Mexico and South America. Additionally, Mobium was named communications agency for Reed Business Systems Consulting, a software implementation and business systems specialist. Brigandi & Associates, Chicago, was selected by Cantel AT&T in Toronto to create in-store merchandising for a new prepaid phone card. Goss Graphics named Esrock Partners in Orland Park to handle customer and employee communications for its Internet-accessible customer service network. Dragonette, Chicago, received assignments from six new clients: Masonite Corp.; Fidia Pharmaceutical Corp.; LoBue Associates; HomeStar Bank; Marquette Cos.; and The New Home Seekers. IOWA Carol Bodensteiner, president of CMF&Z Public Relations in Des Moines, was named Business Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women of Des Moines. KANSAS Greteman Group in Wichita was chosen to provide advertising and marketing collateral for Business JetSolutions, a Dallas-based unit of Bombardier Aerospace. MICHIGAN Square One Design, a Grand Rapids design firm, and Fairly Painless Advertising, a full-service agency in Holland, have merged, effective Jan. 1. The new venture, which continues under the Fairly Painless Advertising name, will keep offices in both cities and boasts a total of 19 employees. MINNESOTA Peterson Milla Hooks was named the first agency of record for Manna Freight Systems. The Minneapolis agency will handle strategic marketing and brand awareness advertising, including media placement. The Edison Group, Minneapolis, was chosen to create corporate identity and branding work for Celeris, a medical consulting company, and KidBoard, an education technologies company. Access Cash hired Layton Marketing Group in St. Paul to implement a direct mail program heralding the introduction of NCR's Millennium Cash Dispenser to financial institutions. Additionally, Layton was hired by Lino Lakes State Bank to market its new community bank. Bolin Marketing & Advertising in Minneapolis was named agency of record for U-Ship, which designs kiosks for the priority shipping industry. MISSOURI Adamson in St. Louis was named public relations agency of record for AmeriNet, a membership-based healthcare group purchasing organization. The Vandiver Group in St. Louis was hired by VDK Frozen Foods to handle crisis communications and product publicity for Van de Kamp's and Mrs. Paul's foods. Other new clients are NPN Environmental Engineers, Citizens for Missouri's Children and Area Resources for Community & Human Resources. OHIO Cleveland shops Shick & Wesley and Fern Hill Communications announced a strategic business alliance to create an interactive division to serve S&W clients. Innis Maggiore Group in Canton completed its merger with Monter Creative Design, North Canton, whose five employees join IMG. Strata-G Communications in Cincinnati has developed a new Internet site, www.totes.com, for Totes, marketer of umbrellas and rain apparel. Relationship Marketing Group, a Fairfield, Conn.-based database marketing agency, opened a Cincinnati office and named Knut Bjorvain manager and vice president of sales. WISCONSIN Milwaukee public television station WMVS/WMVT selected Celtic Advertising, Brookfield, to handle advertising and public relations. McGlinchey & Associates in Brookfield launched its Internet site at www.mcglin. com. In addition to agency information, the site provides tips for Web surfers. Image Makers Advertising in Waukesha was named agency of record for Kober Heating & Cooling.
