When the cast of Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle and an audience of young adults on VH1’s talk show The List picked Cornnuts’ “Bust a Nut” as the No. 2 best ad jingle of all time, the folks at North Castle Partners, Stamford, Conn., were pleased.
North Castle created the radio jingle for the Planters’ snack food in 1998. Getting serious airtime on West Coast rock stations, the tune made a splash.
“After only eight weeks of airing, a grass-roots cult following developed,” said agency partner Grant MacDonald.
