MIDWEST ILLINOIS Black Dog Design in Chicago was selected by AT&T Wireless Services to create and produce promotional and marketing materials, including CD-ROM and new media programs. The assignment includes creative work for point-of-purchase materials for AT&T Wireless retail units as well as package design for new and existing products. The Weiser Group, Chicago, was retained as public relations counsel for the Chicago Board Options Exchange and its new Options on the Dow investment program. Trans Union Corp. hired Grant/Jacoby in Chicago to handle corporate marketing and advertising, collateral and direct mail. The client is a leading credit information company. KANSAS Callahan Creek is the new name of Topeka agency Admark. The new moniker combines the maiden names of president and owner Cindy Maude (Creek) and her grandmother (Callahan). The agency claims capitalized billings of $17 million. KENTUCKY Buzzword Inc. in Lexington has been retained as agency for two new clients: Signature Market and Dabeck Inc. MICHIGAN Harris Marketing Group in Ann Arbor is working with American Express Financial Advisors to develop marketing programs targeting women and promoting financial investments. The Jewish Federation and the United Jewish Foundation of Metro Detroit have selected The Berline Group in Bloomfield Hills to handle communications for the centennial celebration of Detroit's Jewish community. Events begin in the fall of 1998 and will continue through the spring of 1999. Brogan & Partners in Detroit is working with The Detroit River Communities, which is seeking designation for the Detroit River as one of the nation's 10 American Heritage Rivers. YH Communications is the new name of the agency formerly known as Young & Hermanson Advertising in Grand Haven. MINNESOTA Initio in Minneapolis has added three new clients to its roster: Emplast, a plastics manufacturer, for which it will develop brand and graphic identity materials; NordicTrack, for which it will create TV spots promoting a new exercise product line; and Viratec, for which it will handle advertising, collateral and Internet site development. Kilter Inc. in Minneapolis added three new clients. For Public Radio International, it will develop print ads for "The World," PRI's global news program in the U.S. Other new clients are HealthEast Bethesda Lutheran Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and the University of Minnesota's Coffman Memorial Union facility. The Minda Agency in Minneapolis was assigned business from Ceridian Performance Partners; Minnesota Department of Transportation Office of Aeronautics; Wilson Learning Corp.; First National Bank of Maryland; First Utility Finance; and AmSouth Banks. MISSOURI The Puckett Group in St. Louis was named agency of record for The Saint Louis Art Museum after a two-month review. The account includes advertising and promotions for major exhibitions and strategic planning for ongoing museum activities. The media consulting division of Kupper Parker Communications in St. Louis has been retained by Pulitzer Broadcasting, Blade Communications and the Nashville affiliate of Warner Brothers' TV network. NEBRASKA Anderson Partners is the new name of the Omaha agency previously known as Scott Anderson Group. The change was made to reflect the agency's expanded services. OHIO Sive/Young & Rubicam in Cincinnati was named agency of record for Totes Isotoner Corp. The agency has handled the Totes brand for the past five years. With the client's acquisition of the Isotoner and Aris brands of gloves and cold weather accessories, the agency's responsibilities have been expanded to cover all products. Bozell in Cleveland was named agency of record for Dow Chemical Co.'s North American fabricated products business, which includes the Styrofoam brand of insulation. The account includes the commercial and residential markets for all products marketed by the division in the U.S. and Canada. PENNSYLVANIA Gray Baumgarten Layport in Pittsburgh has been chosen to handle public relations for the Race for the Cure, a 5K run held to raise funds for breast cancer research. WISCONSIN L. Quillen and Associates in La Crosse was named agency of record for Walker Stainless Equipment Co.'s transportation division. The account includes creative development and media placement both nationally and locally. DuFour Advertising is the new name of DuFour & Associates Advertising & Design in Sheboygan. The new name is intended to reflect the shop's development into a full-service advertising agency. LEM U.S.A. has hired Celtic Advertising in Brookfield as its agency of record. The client, which is a U.S. subsidiary of a Swiss company, manufactures current and voltage transducers. Cotton Council International has chosen Sargent & Potratz in Brookfield to redesign its traveling exhibit. CCI is the marketing organization for U.S. cotton growers in global markets. Image Makers Advertising in Elm Grove was named advertising and marketing agency of record for A/R Packaging Corp., a contract packager of petroleum lubricants.
