NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Frankel & Co., a Chicago-based brand marketing agency, named Lori Leiva vice president/account director on its Visa account. She will be based in Frankel's San Francisco office. The Medical Marketing Association, headquarted in San Francisco, announced its 1998-99 board of directors. Glenn Caster, president and chief executive officer of ARS Enterprises in Santa Fe Springs, is MMA's new president. The executive officers include Curt Parker, Andrew Schorr and Bonnie Vivian. Other board members include Jack DeFranco, Dick Jacobs, Steve Bryant, Sara Hooten, David Murphy and Robert Brooks. Dino Papoutsis, product manager for Cavro Scientific Instruments, is the San Francisco/Bay Area chapter president. OREGON Robley Marketing, a Portland-based marketing, advertising and public relations agency, hired Megan Numrich as an account coordinator. ID in Portland hired Elizabeth Duncan as account manager. She comes to the shop from Triple Dot Communications in Boston and will manage the Hewlett-Packard account. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Colby Effler & Partners in Santa Monica hired Ian McIlvaine as management supervisor on the American Suzuki Motor Corp. motorcycle division account. McAdams Group, Newport Beach, hired Scott Warner as director of strategic marketing. The agency also hired Melissa Dantz as project manager. MLS Marketing Group in Irvine hired Jasvina Gill as an account executive. Gary Darcy was named vice president of marketing for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) in Glendora. John Hall was named vice president of the new Los Angeles Western regional office of New York-based outdoor company Culver Associates. Rob Pellizzi was named vice president of marketing for Nick at Night and TV Land in Los Angeles. Cece Karz and Gregg Brilliant were both promoted to the position of vice president of national publicity for the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Extraordinary Events, a Los Angeles-based event production company, promoted Ruth Moyte and Sheridan Richardson to producers. The shop also hired Diane Fabiano as an account executive. Cooley & Co., Newport Beach, hired Ali Kruze as an associate. RiechesBaird Advertising, Irvine, hired Jeffery Mercer as studio artist/designer. He will be responsible for designing ads and brochures. Di Zinno Thompson Integrated Marketing Solutions added a new creative team with Dana Neibert as art director and Ming Lai as copywriter. Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger, San Diego, hired Mitchell Berner as senior vice president for public relations. WASHINGTON Signature Media Services in Tacoma hired Scott Bailey and Charlee Glock-Jackson as creative directors and added Tom Llewellyn as the third member of its writing staff.
