United Business Media (UBM) announced early this morning that it will restructure CMP Technology (CMP) into four new divisions, effectively eliminating the CMP name from the company. Each new business will have its own CEO, with each CEO reporting to UBM Chief Executive David Levin.

“This is the next step in the strategic evolution of how we serve our technology market customers—and we’re doing it from a position of strength,” says Levin.

The four new businesses are: TechWeb, formerly CMP’s Business Technology Group, which will be led by Tony Uphoff; Everything Channel, formerly CMP Channel, to be led by Robert Faletra; TechInsights, formerly CMP’s Electronics Group, now led by Paul Miller; and Think Services, formerly CMP’s Game, Dr.
