TEXAS Troy Myatt was promoted from junior art director to art director at Stuart Bacon, Fort Worth. He joined the agency in January from Zachry Associates, Abilene, where he was a graphic designer. PrimeCo Personal Communications, Houston, added public relations manager Danielle Kernell to its management team. She previously served as a senior marketing associate for OneCare Health Industries, Houston. M/C/C, Dallas, was named the public relations agency of record for PageMart Wireless, a pager messaging services company in Dallas. M/C/C will handle product and service launches as well as corporate positioning for PageMart. The Art Directors Club of Houston will hold its Houston Show, the organization's annual exhibit and awards ceremony, at 6 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the Aerial Theater. Texas Monthly, Austin, will produce a new business publication in March 1999 called Texas Monthly Biz. The magazine will go to current subsribers and will also be packaged with newsstand editions. Sullivan's Steakhouse appointed The Buzzell Co., Dallas, to provide public relations support for the mid-October opening of its new restaurant in North Dallas. Sullivan's also operates locations in Houston and Austin. Wheeler Advertising, Arlington, was hired to handle advertising for Superior Chevrolet in Kansas City, Mo. The agency will focus primarily on television and radio messages for the client, part of the Rick Hendricks chain of dealerships. In addition, Wheeler was also hired by Shipp's RV, a Chattanooga, Tenn.-based recreational vehicle dealership. Wheeler will produce TV ads and handle media. Temerlin McClain, Irving, promoted account supervisors James Hering and Anita Wheeler to management supervisors. Hering will work on the American Airlines and Sabre accounts, while Wheeler will also handle duties on American. Also at the shop, creative director Matt Manroe was elevated to creative director of integrated creative services and assistant account executive Margaret Ostarch moved up to account executive. Dallas-based GibbsBaronet hired art director and designer Brad Galles, who previously was an intern at former Dallas shop Meyer & Johnson. Click Here, the interactive communications affiliate of The Richards Group in Dallas, was hired by EquityMedia of Irving. Click Here will provide advertising and marketing support for Popmail Custom, a free e-mail service, and help form a corporate identity for the company. The Dallas Morning News appointed Kate Rose Murphy marketing director. She will oversee marketing programs for the newspaper and reports to Rick Starks, senior vice president of sales and marketing. Harte-Hanks, San Antonio, has completed the acquisition of Austin's Cornerstone Integrated Services, a provider of technical and marketing support services to the high-tech industry. The publishing division of Hand & Associates in Addison next month launches the Addison and North Dallas Corridor Visitor's Guide. The periodical, which will be published biannually beginning in 1999, will showcase local retail attractions and restaurants. Jamieson Advertising Services Group, Fort Worth, was named agency of record for Bill Ancona Motorsports, Fort Worth. NourzAds, Elgin, has launched a new awareness campaign for the Family Crisis Center of Bastrop.
