Zehnder Communications here launches a multimedia campaign this month for the New Orleans Downtown Development District that will run on area broadcasts and in print media for the rest of the year.
The $360,000 advertising effort employs the tagline, “New Orleans is your oyster, downtown is the pearl.”
The initiative includes two television spots and six print ads aimed at adults 25-49 with a household income of more than $30,000.
The campaign encourages people to spend more time in the city’s center, which is also a high-traffic area for tourists.
Area merchants who have sponsored the campaign at different levels are featured in the ads, which invite people to call for a discount coupon book.
