Broadcast Ads From Lane Advertising Feature Local Comic Sweeney
BOSTON–In an effort to enhance its position as a neighborhood shop and differentiate itself from bigger chains, HoneyDew Donuts has embarked on its first major ad initiative.
Created by Lane Advertising in Marblehead, Mass., the seven-figure broadcast campaign features comedian Steve Sweeney as an overbearing, blue-collar customer. The tagline: “Wake up and smell the coffee.”
In addition to television and radio ads, the agency created in-store collateral materials and redesigned the company’s packaging.
