Peter A. Mayer Advertising here has acquired project work with two local companies that have not employed ad agencies in several years.
Mayer has been hired to do public relations and advertising for the Touro Infirmary and Sazerac Distributors, a beer and spirits company.
Both firms had $1 million ad budgets in the early 1990s, when each had an agency of record–Touro with McDonald Davis & Associates of Milwaukee and Sazerac with Bauerlein Advertising here. Recently, however, all ad work was done in-house.
Mayer public relations director Mark Romig said no reviews were held for either account, and the size of the project work has not been determined.
Touro contracted with McDonald Davis in 1994 to produce a trio of award-winning spots titled “Good care for the good life.”
