‘Strategic Differences’ Move Biz In-House
BOSTON–The screen suddenly went black last week on Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos’ brief run with Turner Broadcasting System’s Cable News Network.
Executives at the Boston-based shop confirmed that its relationship with CNN has ended after less than a year. Sources said TBS has moved the Atlanta-based account in-house.
The mutually agreed-upon parting of the ways was the result of “strategic differences,” according to one agency source. The relationship became strained when CNN opted to promote specific nightly program lineups, the source said.
