N. CALIFORNIA Lot21 Interactive Advertising in San Francisco was recently selected by Adsgallery.com--a Toronto-based interactive Web site displaying campaigns from around the world--to showcase its work. Electric Communities, a Cupertino-based interactive services provider, will change its name to Communities.com. OREGON Portland-based Young & Roehr Group has been named agency of record by Wyle Electronics, a leading electronics distributor headquartered in Irvine, Calif. Bradshaw Advertising, Portland, has been hired to handle creative consumer advertising for Sycuan Casino, a gaming resort located outside of San Diego. The agency will develop a campaign consisting of broadcast, print and outdoor ads targeting the San Diego market. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Norm Marshall & Associates, Sun Valley, has joined forces with The Catalyst Group in Burbank to form a global marketing agency. Both companies have client rosters in the entertainment industry. The partnership will unite the two agencies in coordinating national and global entertainment-linked campaigns, including motion picture and television product placement and promotions. The merged entity will be based in Sun Valley. Husband and wife team Gus and Terri Colachis have announced the founding of ARC Consultants, a marketing firm based in Solana Beach specializing in hotel, resort, golf and real estate enterprises. Gus Colachis previously owned and developed JC resorts, while Terry Colachis served as a marketing executive for the Cobblestone Golf Group. Rabuck/Carnie Advertising in Culver City has announced that it is changing its name to The Rabuck Agency. The announcement, which follows the departure of president and CEO Gordon Carnie, was made by Rick Rabuck, who has assumed the post of president and will continue to act as creative head. In addition, the firm has formed an alliance with BlinickDirect, Princeton, N.J., to expand its East Coast client roster. The Blaze Co., Venice, has been retained by U.S. Den Tek in Petaluma to create a publicity campaign for its Breath Remedy product line. Marina del Rey-based Fischer & Partners has added Woodside Biomedical in San Diego to its client roster. The shop will be responsible for developing a communications program for ReliefBrand, a nondrug, noninvasive electronic medical device that treats nausea associated with chemotherapy, pregnancy and motion sickness. Sieminski & Associates, Fullerton, has been named agency of record for Vessel Assist Association of America in Newport Beach. Brigham Scully, Woodland Hills, has been hired to create an integrated marketing communications program for The Skyline Group, Encino. The effort will include advertising, direct mail and public relations. Drasnin Communications in Del Mar has been retained by Vicious Fishes in Pasadena to promote the software company's Digital ArtWare product. The shop will handle public relations and the official product launch.
