SBC Hears Finalists

Three finalists are contending for the $17 million consolidated Hispanic advertising account of SBC Communications.

Industry sources last week named Bromley Communications in San Antonio, LatinWorks in Austin, Texas, and one undisclosed Dallas agency as participants in the final round. A decision is expected this week.

The agencies said to be involved declined comment, as did SBC senior director of corporate advertising Oscar Salsado.

The in-house account review follows the $62 billion merger last year of SBC and Ameritech.
