SuperDisk Drive Maker Contacts Agencies
CHICAGO–Imation Corp., manufacturer of the SuperDisk computer disk drive, has quietly contacted agencies in the Midwest, Southwest and possibly New York about its $8-10 million advertising account, sources said. Officials at the Oakdale, Minn.-based data storage company could not be reached for comment at press time, but agency sources said they had “informal” discussions with the client. Imation’s account has been with Ketchum Advertising in Pittsburgh since 1996. Ketchum officials said they were unaware of any search being conducted by Imation, though they noted the company had scaled back its advertising recently.
