CHICAGO–Looking to capitalize on the hype surrounding the coming-out party for the sitcom Ellen, Home Access Health Corp. will advertise its HIV test during the network program in six markets.
The 30-second spot from Arian, Lowe & Travis in Chicago will mark the first time the company has advertised on network television. The Ellen Morgan character on the ABC-TV show will come out as a lesbian during the April 30 episode.
Other advertisers have shied away from the controversy surrounding the episode, including Wendy’s, Chrysler and J.C
