CHICAGO–McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown here led the field with 12 finalist ads at last week’s Chicago Addys show. The agency’s hardware included one gold, three silvers and a bronze.





Best of Show honors went to Leo Burnett for ‘Sign,’ a McDonald’s television commercial showing a baby on a swing who smiles only when the Golden Arches come into view. The Burnett spot first aired during the January 1996 Super Bowl telecast.





Judges awarded a total of four golds at the show.
