Mike Turner, chairman of Turner Fernandez Turner, has received the Austin P. Kelley Lifetime Achievement Award from the Atlanta Ad Club. Larry Smith, president of Larry Smith & Associates, was presented the Silver Medal.
Turner is the fourth individual to win the lifetime award.
“Judging was very difficult,” said club president Suzanne Harkness. “The board felt Mike’s influence, even outside Atlanta, warranted his recognition.”
Turner opened Ogilvy & Mather’s offices in Atlanta and Houston. He was involved in ad campaigns for Compaq Computers, Zest soap and Cool Whip, among others.
