SAN FRANCISCO–Taking a vow of silence doesn’t have to be stifling.
HearMe, a company whose technology enables live voice conversations over the Internet, is rolling out a $5 million campaign from Doremus that shows how talking online shakes up a Benedictine monastery.
In TV spots, a heavyset monk named Brother Bartholemew talks to the outside world using the Web and eventually forsakes his pious duties in favor of Internet chats and online advice.
