Billy J. Payton, a veteran of luxury department store chain Neiman Marcus and creator of its customer rewards programs, has joined Brierley & Partners as president of the shop’s retail practice.
Payton also becomes senior vice president of Brierley, a Dallas-based promotional agency whose 1999 billings topped $275 million.
Since 1993, Payton has served as vice president of marketing and customer programs at Neiman Marcus here. During his 36-year career with the merchant, he also was responsible for the development of the InCircle and NM Gold, both early forays into customer loyalty programs within the retail industry.
