NEW YORK–The discount brokerage Muriel Siebert & Co. has chosen Jerry & Ketchum to handle its advertising account following a review.





Jerry & Ketchum will handle creative responsibilities as well as media planning and buying.





‘I know Jerry, and have known of him for a long time. He’s been so creative and so bright,’ said company founder and president Muriel Siebert about Jerry Della Femina, chairman and creative director of the New York shop. The shop defeated ‘three or four small New York agencies with specific experience in finance,’ Siebert said, declining to name them.





The agency will help the New York-based brokerage compete with larger companies such as Charles Schwab and Fidelity by emphasizing the personal services of senior management and the streamlined size of the company, said Jim Tenny, executive vice president at the agency.
