BOSTON–The Massachusetts Office of Business Development last week named the shops that will compete for its account.

The contenders are: Holland Mark Martin; Greenberg Seronick O’Leary & Partners; C C and D Communications; Irma S. Mann, Strategic Marketing; Kelley Dexter; and Trinity Communications, all in Boston; and Skinner-James in Watertown, Mass.

The annual budget is expected to be between $500,000 and $2 million, subject to legislative appropriation.

Incumbent Houston Herstek Favat, the Boston agency that has handled the business for the past five years, has chosen not to defend the account (Adweek, June 2).

The contenders are slated to attend a briefing today at the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development, which oversees the Office of Business Development.
