A year after co-founder and CEO John McGarry exited, his son and head of the shop’s digital practice, John McGarry III, is leaving. The agency today named Doug Livingston to fill the role.

Livingston, who most recently was director of digital integration at Grey in New York, now becomes chief digital officer at his new shop. He’ll report to chairman and chief creative officer Gordon Bowen.

In making the hire, Bowen cited Livingston’s “global expertise and proven ability to expand and win business.”
