Serve Robotics, a startup that spun off from Uber-owned Postmates last year, claims its new fleet of sidewalk robots can make deliveries with no human involvement in what could be a breakthrough for the budding automated delivery space.
The company claims its devices are able to complete commercial deliveries that take place in certain geo-fenced zones without human supervision, unlike the fleets of competing startups that usually require humans to monitor robots and assist if they get into a jam.
