On Wednesday, Apple announced a record second quarter, with profits soaring 95 percent and revenue up 83 percent. But there was a big question mark looming over Apple’s hour-long conference call with Wall Street. “What about Steve?” one analyst finally asked.
"He is still on medical leave . . . but we do see him on a regular basis," was the response of company COO Tim Cook, who has been running the show in Jobs’ absence.
