Twitter Rolls Out Revamped Prompts to Curb Harmful, Offensive Replies

The social network has been testing them since last May

Twitter tweaked the prompts it has been testing in cases when users are about to send potentially harmful or offensive replies, and the revised versions began rolling out this week to accounts with English-language settings, on Android and iOS.

The social network initially tested these prompts with some iOS users last May, updating them last August to give users more information on why they were seeing the prompt, as well as to incorporate improvements to how the context of conversations was being considered before generating the prompt.
