Washington speculation that Barack Obama would tap Mignon Clyburn for an FCC commissioner’s slot began within days after he won the presidential election on Nov. 4. Now, according to several reports swirling around the nation’s capital late Wednesday evening (April 28), he’s about to make it official.
Clyburn, 46, a former newspaper editor, GM and publisher who has been a commissioner on the South Carolina Public Service Commission for nearly 11 years, is a 1980 graduate of the University of South Carolina and holds a B.S.
