Monster Hires BBDO's Gilvar as Global Marketing Officer

Monster Worldwide today named Ted Gilvar as evp and chief global marketing officer to oversee the company’s global marketing strategy, advertising and branding initiatives.

Monster Worldwide is the parent of Monster.com, an online job search firm largely credited for introducing the idea of dot-coms spending big on Super Bowl advertising. It spent $55 million on media last year, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Gilvar comes to Monster with extensive knowledge of the company’s marketing initiatives, having directed the recruitment firm’s business in his most recent role as evp and senior director at ad agency BBDO.
