Brian Tierney, the writer and lead creative director on Garmin’s Super Bowl and “Give a Garmin” holiday campaigns, has joined Mullen in the role of svp, creative director. Tierney, whose other notable work includes the launch of BMW’s Minis Cooper and Burger King’s “Fantasy Ranch ” TV spot, is the latest new hire in Mullen executive creative director Mark Wenneker’s creative department. In addition to Garmin — which he worked on at both Fallon and at his own eponymous agency — Tierney’s brand experience includes Harley-Davidson, Porsche, Apple, Target, Budweiser, Pepsi and Citibank.
