Hulu and Discovery Inc. are expanding their partnership to put more programming on the streaming service.

The agreement, which stretches over multiple years, will bring almost 4,000 aired episodes of shows to all Hulu subscribers, including Deadliest Catch, MythBusters, Chopped and House Hunters.

“Our new agreement with Hulu affirms the strength of our brands and their value to viewers in a marketplace with an increasing array of options,” said Eric Phillips, president of affiliate distribution at Discovery, in a statement.

Five additional Discovery networks are also joining Hulu with live TV, including Discovery Channel, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Motor Trend, Velocity Network and Animal Planet. They will go live in December.

A prior agreement with Scripps Network Interactive made some now-Discovery networks (after the Scripps-Discovery merger) already available, including HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel.

A basic Hulu subscription starts at $7.99 per month and a Hulu subscription with live TV starts at $39.99 per month.

Hulu also reached an agreement with Discovery Networks’ Oprah Winfrey Network to bring four series to Hulu, including all previous episodes from Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots, If Loving You Is Wrong, The Paynes and Love Thy Neighbor. Already on Hulu was OWN’s series, Queen Sugar.

“Discovery’s brand is synonymous with high-quality unscripted entertainment that TV fans love, which is why we are excited to bring their entire portfolio to our platform, across all of our subscription plans,” said Lisa Holme, vice president of content acquisition, and Reagan Feeney, vice president of network partnerships at Hulu in a statement.
