YouTube took a page from the TikTok playbook with its debut Wednesday of a feature that enables creators to tap the sound button in the bottom-right corner of YouTube Shorts and access a sounds page showing other Shorts using the same sound.
Hitting the Save button on a sound will add it to a new Sounds From Shorts playlist in both the flagship YouTube application and YouTube Music, and users can create new Shorts using that sound.
Songs can also be manually added to the Sounds From Shorts playlist.
A YouTube spokesperson said, “Sounds on Shorts allows for users to easily connect with new music they discover on Shorts.
