Rolling Stone Rides High on Multiplatform Advertising

Rolling Stone is reporting impressive jumps in advertising revenue so far in 2011, according to Min.

“Increase is coming from every major category: automotive, beer/liquor, consumer electronics, fashion and telecom,” Rolling Stone publisher Matt Mastrangelo told the trade website.

Multiplatform campaigns are driving the increases, Mastrangelo said, which on the print side add up to 221.2 ad pages through the March 31 issue, compared to 158.2 during the same period in 2010. The March 17 issue, featuring reality TV star Snooki on the cover, saw a 33.49
