On the Adweek Podcast: What to Expect From the Cannes Lions

Plus, a lively IHOb debate

The Cannes Lions festival is now underway. Sean T. Smith

A large contingent of my colleagues are in Cannes this week, attending advertising’s biggest festival and awards show, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Before a few of them left, we roped them into coming on the podcast to talk about what to expect from the industry’s buzziest event.

This week on the Adweek podcast—Yeah, That’s Probably an Ad—we spoke with the lucky crew heading to the Riviera: managing editor Stephanie Paterik and senior editor Patrick Coffee joined co-hosts Sami Main and David Griner to talk all things Cannes. Who will win big this year? What’s everyone looking forward to the most? How much rosé will everyone consume?

The crew also discussed IHOP’s decision to temporarily (we assume) change its name to IHOb. Reactions were mixed, to say the least.
