Kiyan Prince's Story Won a Major Cannes Award. But for His Father, This Is Just the Start

Mark Prince wants to use the award to honor his late son and expand his mission to help young people

Leaders from Glossier, Shopify, Mastercard and more will take the stage at Brandweek to share what strategies set them apart and how they incorporate the most valued emerging trends. Register to join us this September 23–26 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Kiyan Prince was a gifted athlete, an up-and-coming soccer star—but he was more than that. He “saw the humor in everything and always looked on the bright side,” said his father, Mark Prince. He was kind. He made the outsiders at school feel included.

“Because he was such a strong character and leader, he could change a match just by coming onto the pitch. Even if they didn’t win, the coach would say that the whole team’s morale was lifted just by Kiyan’s presence,” Mark Prince told Adweek.
