iPhone movies get their own glitzy iOScars

Many great ideas are born of procrastination, so it would stand to reason this one was inspired by Twitter banter. BBH New York digital creative director Seth Weisfeld and executive director of innovation Ben Malbon, along with Craig Elimeliah of Freedom + Partners, recently chatted about the potential of the iPhone 4 as a tool of mass creativity with its video creation and editing capabilities. Just like that, Freedom + Partners whipped up a site for the iOScars, a contest for movies made using the new iPhones. The rules state that all videos must be both shot and edited on the iPhone. It's a nice idea, so long as Steve Jobs and his legion of lawyers don't get wind of it.
