That’s not a judgment call against “Eternal Pregnancy.” It’s just a logistical fact.

The 2-minute spot from Belgium had been cut in one of the earliest rounds of review by the Cannes Lions Film jurors, many of who never even saw it before it was sliced from the shortlist.

But the creative festival’s Film jurors are each offered a chance to bring back one piece of work for another look, and thanks to this loophole, “Eternal Pregnancy” continued to gestate in jury deliberations.
