Washington, D.C., may be known for politics, but visitors and transplants to the city will quickly notice it has much more to offer. Currently experiencing a cultural and entrepreneurial boom, the nation’s capital has quickly become one of the hottest markets for design, startups and marketing innovation.

To celebrate Adweek’s 24 D.C. Rising Brand Stars, we recently visited the District to host a reception packed with talent from across marketing, media, tech and institutions like the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
