Just hearing “2020” is enough to make many people shudder. For some, it’s been a terrible year of loss—of life, opportunity, jobs. But against that backdrop, many people have fought through adversity and thrived.

In its latest ad campaign, “Browser History,” site building platform Squarespace pays homage to the entrepreneurs who have undertaken “inspirational pivots” in 2020 and launched new businesses, or significantly shifted direction.

The brand commissioned artist Ignasi Monreal to make Renaissance-style portraits of six business owners who use Squarespace.
