NBCUniversal Taps ViacomCBS Exec for Newly Created TV Programming DEI Role

NBCUniversal is furthering its diversity efforts, naming Jeanne Mau as its new svp, TV programming diversity, equity and inclusion.

Top line

In the newly created role, Mau, who was previously svp of global inclusion at ViacomCBS, will drive DEI strategies for content across the entertainment networks in the NBCUniversal television and streaming entertainment portfolio, which also includes the Universal Studio Group.

Mau, who also previously supervised the CBS Directing Initiative and Writers Mentoring Program as svp, entertainment diversity and inclusion, will report into Universal Studio Group chairman Pearlena Igbokwe and entertainment content chairman Susan Rovner.

Between the lines

Mau’s primary responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s diversity efforts in front of and behind the camera, as well as managing and expanding NBCUniversal’s television pipeline programs.
