Publicis Closes $2.2 Billion LiveRamp Deal: ‘We Aren't Worried About Competitors Leaving’

CEO Arthur Sadoun told ADWEEK that Publicis will welcome rivals ‘with open arms’

Publicis has closed its $2.2 billion acquisition of data collaboration platform LiveRamp, the company said on Monday.

The ad network is touting the all-cash deal, first announced in May, as its solution to agentic transformation: using AI agents to automate and collaborate on corporate workflows, while giving clients full ownership of those systems.

It marks Publicis’ largest acquisition since its $4.4 billion purchase of Epsilon in 2019.

The acquisition was finalized just over a week after the Federal Trade Commission cleared it, subject to five years of neutrality requirements for Publicis and LiveRamp.

Publicis will continue to operate LiveRamp as an independent company, with Scott Howe remaining as CEO.
