Omnicom Nabs Coca-Cola’s North America Media Account While WPP Retains Globally

The beverage giant hosted two separate pitches after Publicis resigned its North America media business for PepsiCo

WPP has retained Coca-Cola’s global media account and Omnicom has won its North American business after two separate competitive reviews and weeks of speculation.

It’s a major victory for incumbent WPP, which initially won Coca-Cola’s global integrated marketing account in 2020, valued at the time at $4 billion. It holds onto the creative and production business, along with creator marketing.

In a statement, WPP CEO Cindy Rose said she was “proud” to build on the foundational partnership:

“Our focus is on earning that trust every day,” she said. “Pairing WPP Media’s scale with Open Intelligence to bring a human dimension to data, so our partners understand not just who their consumers are, but what drives them.”
