This is pretty rare: someone manipulating a corporate promotion for charity purposes rather than personal gain. Check out Donate Your Coke Codes, a blog set up to gather codes from Coca-Cola’s My Coke Rewards promotion and buy a present for Brandon McKnight, a kid at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Chicago who suffers from cranial pharyngioma. As the blog points out, the My Coke Rewards prizes “aren’t worth anything unless you drink about ten 12-packs a day. … But if we pool our caffeine addictions and combine all our Coke codes, we can earn a cool prize for a needy kid.” So far, the site has 1,395 points. Only 12,205 to go before they can nab that 32-inch Bravia S-Series LCD TV.
